Two things I’ve been heads-down on for a long time just shipped.
First: Joe Speaking is live on the App Store. Log in with the same account and everything you’ve already practiced — history, credits, all of it — is right there waiting on iPhone.
Now on iPhone
Your personal IELTS Speaking tutor, in your pocket
The App Store app now replaces the old “Add to Home Screen” shortcut on iPhone — nothing to set up, just sign in.
Same Account, Same Progress
Second: I opened up exactly how your speaking practice gets scored.
It’s not a black box. I’m showing you exactly what goes into every band — including where it still falls short.
Inside Your Score
Built from countable checks, not guesses
This covers IELTS Recording Practice. Pronunciation is a transcript-based estimate, not real audio scoring — I say so right on the page. Joe Speaking is not affiliated with or endorsed by IELTS.

IELTS Recording Practice
“Language is for communication, not perfection.”
That’s also why I’d rather show you the checks behind your score than ask you to just trust a number.

Tell me what could be better
If the iPhone app hiccups, your history doesn’t sync right, or a scoring result looks off, I want to know. Feedback from learners directly shapes what I improve next.
The easiest way to reach me is to reply to this email. You can also find me in the Joe Speaking community below.
Thank you for being here through all of it — the iPhone build and the scoring rebuild both took longer than I expected.
Thank you,
Joe
