Add Joe Speaking to Le Chat

These are Le Chat’s own steps, with the labels you’ll see. You only do this once.

Before you start

Mistral says only an admin can add a custom connector. On the Free, Pro and Student plans you’re the admin of your own account, so you can add it yourself. On a team plan, ask your admin.

    Open Connectors

    In Le Chat, open Context in the sidebar, then Connectors, and choose New connector.

    Add a custom connector

    Choose New custom connector. Enter JoeSpeaking as the Connector name (no spaces) and paste the server URL as the Server URL. Le Chat detects OAuth2.1 sign-in by itself. Choose Add connector.

    Connect and allow read-only access

    On the connector’s page, choose Connect. Sign in to Joe Speaking and choose Allow access. The connector’s status changes to Valid.

    Turn it on and ask

    Choose Try now on the connector’s page, or turn the JoeSpeaking connector on in a chat, then ask your question. Le Chat may ask you to approve each read.

To disconnect

In Le Chat, open Context → Connectors to manage or remove the connector. Or, in Joe Speaking, open Settings → Connected Apps and remove it. Access stops right away.

Then ask about your practice

Le Chat answers from the practice saved in your Joe Speaking account. Turn the JoeSpeaking connector on in the chat first. Le Chat may ask you to approve each read.

The approval link only lasts a short time. Go back to Le Chat, start adding or connecting Joe Speaking again, and approve on the new page.
