Add Joe Speaking to your AI app
Labels differ from app to app, but the steps are the same. You only do this once.
Before you start
Your app has to accept a remote MCP server by URL and sign you in through your browser (OAuth). Apps that only run local servers can’t connect. Plans, countries and admin rules are set by each app, so check its own help pages.
Server URL
Copy it now. You’ll paste it in step 2.
https://mcp.joespeaking.com/mcp- 1
Find where to add a server
In your AI app’s settings, look for Connectors, Integrations, Plugins or MCP servers, and choose to add a custom or remote server.
- 2
Paste the server URL
Paste the server URL and name it Joe Speaking (or JoeSpeaking if spaces aren’t allowed). If the app asks how to authenticate, choose OAuth. There’s no API key or client secret to enter.
- 3
Sign in and allow read-only access
Your browser opens Joe Speaking. Sign in to the account that holds your practice, choose Allow access, then go back to the app.
- 4
Turn it on and ask
If the app lets you choose connectors for each chat, turn Joe Speaking on or mention it, then ask about your practice.
To disconnect
Remove the server in the app’s settings. Or, in Joe Speaking, open Settings → Connected Apps and remove it. Access stops right away.
Then ask about your practice
Answers come from the practice saved in your Joe Speaking account. If the app lets you choose connectors for each chat, turn Joe Speaking on or mention it first.
- How’s my speaking practice going?
- How can I get a steady 7?
- Help me prep Part 2 faster with stories I’ve already told.
- Which one should I practise first today?
Speaking practice itself happens in Joe Speaking. Scores are AI practice estimates, not official IELTS or CELPIP results.
